Springing ahead

I’m not sure what it is about Lent that makes me feel like writing. I suppose it’s the encouragement to reflect, repent, reset. Sort of like New Year’s Day and my birthday, Lent feels like an opportunity for new beginnings. Which (ironically?) makes me want to revisit the past. And look to the future, of course.

And so, four days into this Lenten season, I’m renewing my commitment to blog.

But first, I need to go to bed, because while the clock tells me it’s approaching midnight, I know that before I go to sleep, I need to walk around the house and reset all of my clocks…that is, the ones that won’t reset themselves by satellite (aka Big Brother) come 2am.  So it’s really approaching 1am, and I need to get up for church tomorrow morning.
